The Health Care Bill and Reconciliation | Video Cafe
Washington Post’s Ezra Klein explains the reconciliation process that Democrats need to pass health care reform and what Republicans can do to drag it out. Stephen Colbert opines that Americans don’t want health care reform jammed down …

UNDERNEWS: THE KILLER VIRUS IN THE HEALTH CARE BILL
To many, it reeks of intolerable government interference in citizens’ lives and causes them to ignore the good aspects of the healthcare legislation. It is the killer virus in the legislation. Should the bill pass, it would make sense …

Pelosi: We Must Pass The Health Care Bill So That We Can Find Out …
“You’ve heard about the controversies within the bill, the process about the bill, one or the other. But I don’t know if you have heard that it is legislation for the future, not just about health care for America, but about a healthier …

News Dissector Blog » Blog Archive » President Rallies For Health …
Positive Senate reaction to Obama’s first health care rally. LAT: “One Senate Democratic aide said Obama’s out-of-town stops are helpful in that they create political space for members to cast a vote in support of the bill. …

Elephant Bar: Health Care Bill: The Democrat Martyrdom Operation
“And Senator Reid is not going to have any incentive to catch them because by the time the reconciliation bill gets to the Senate, the president will have already signed the health care bill into law and he’ll be well on his way to …

Mish's Global Economic Trend Analysis: Pelosi: We have to pass the …
“We have to pass the health care bill so that you can find out what is in it.” That unfortunately is the sad state of affairs, not just with healthcare, but with virtually any bill passed by Congress. The only people who know what is in …

Breitbart.tv » Nancy Pelosi: We Need to Pass Health Care Bill to …
â œBut we have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it, away from the fog of the controversy. Furthermore, we believe that health care reform, again I said at the beginning of my remarks, that we sent the three pillars …

Bill Owens undecided on healthcare bill – The Hill's Blog Briefing …
They will likely proceed by passing the Senate’s healthcare bill along with a package of fixes proposed by President Barack Obama. Some House Democrats, however, have balked at voting for the Senate bill because it contains language and …

Beating Back the Health Care Bill Now
Democrats also risk losing seven members who voted for the bill, but have since became displeased with the handling of the health care bill—or have come under pressure from voters in their conservative districts to oppose it. …

So why are Liberals on here so happy at a bill that took numerous backroom deals to get their own party to?
What do you think?
Yes or no…?
I’m really on the fence about this one.
I guess I wanna know why people are thinking the way they are.

should the proposed health care bill pass?
“But we have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it, away from the fog of the controversy. Furthermore, we believe that health care reform, again I said at the beginning of my remarks, that we sent the three pillars that the President’s economic stabilization and job creation initiatives were education and innovation—innovation begins in the classroom—clean energy and climate, addressing the climate issues in an innovative way to keep us number one and competitive in the world with the new technology, and the third, first among equals I may say, is health care, health insurance reform.”

Why does Pelosi need to pass the health bill just to find out what is in it?
Does they are having any obstacle to pass this bill or reform?

How congress and president keep their check and balance with the health care reform?
That it’s over for their healthcare monstrosity.
Polling conducted earlier this week shows that 57% of voters believe that passage of the legislation would hurt the economy, while only 25% believe it would help. That makes sense in a nation where most voters believe that increases in government spending are bad for the economy.

When the president responds that the plan is deficit neutral, he runs into a pair of basic problems. The first is that voters think reducing spending is more important than reducing the deficit. So a plan that is deficit neutral with a big spending hike is not going to be well received.

But the bigger problem is that people simply don’t trust the official projections. People in Washington may live and die by the pronouncements of the Congressional Budget Office, but 81% of voters say it’s likely the plan will end up costing more than projected. Only 10% say the official numbers are likely to be on target.

As a result, 66% of voters believe passage of the president’s plan will lead to higher deficits and 78% say it’s at least somewhat likely to mean higher middle-class taxes. Even within the president’s own political party there are concerns on these fronts.

A plurality of Democrats believe the health-care plan will increase the deficit and a majority say it will likely mean higher middle-class taxes. At a time when voters say that reducing the deficit is a higher priority than health-care reform, these numbers are hard to ignore.

The proposed increase in government spending creates problems for advocates of reform beyond the perceived impact on deficits and the economy. Fifty-nine percent of voters say that the biggest problem with the health-care system is the cost: They want reform that will bring down the cost of care. For these voters, the notion that you need to spend an additional trillion dollars doesn’t make sense. If the program is supposed to save money, why does it cost anything at all?

On top of that, most voters expect that passage of the congressional plan will increase the cost of care at the same time it drives up government spending. Only 17% now believe it will reduce the cost of care.

The final piece of the puzzle is that the overwhelming majority of voters have insurance coverage, and 76% rate their own coverage as good or excellent. Half of these voters say it’s likely that if the congressional health bill becomes law, they would be forced to switch insurance coverage—a prospect hardly anyone ever relishes. These numbers have barely moved for months: Nothing the president has said has reassured people on this point.

Why don’t Obama and Pelosi know what every one in Amercia already knows?
The Washington Post’s Richard Cohen explains why President Obama hasn’t been able to ram his health care overhaul through Congress: democracy.

The baleful fact is that the country suffers from a surfeit of democracy — a gazillion interest groups, a gazillion blogs, a gazillion talk shows and all of them insisting on transparency so a gazillion eyes peer over the shoulders of politicians. The black but necessary art of politics shies from the sun. Little gets done. Backrooms have been turned into rec rooms and meetings are seminars. We are doomed. Worse, we are bored.

Why, the nerve of all those Americans! Actually demanding to know the details of a process that is creating a bill that will radically impact their lives.

Cohen isn’t an isolated example. Thomas Friedman has repeatedly gushed about China’s “reasonably enlightened” authoritarian rulers and how they are so much more effective than America’s democracy.

And now: Noted philosopher Sean Penn says journalists who call Venezuela’s President Hugo Chavez a dictator should be jailed.

http://blogs.investors.com/capitalhill/index.php/home/35-politics/1495-liberals-say-america-has-too-much-democracy

In your opinion, do we have too much Democracy, as being claimed by some liberals?
FINALLY SOMEONE ASKED HIM THE QUESTION ON “ABC-TV” Monday October 12, 2009 DURING THE “NETWORK SPECIAL ON HEALTH CARE”…. OBAMA WAS ASKED:

“MR PRESIDENT WILL YOU AND YOUR FAMILY GIVE UP YOUR CURRENT HEALTH CARE PROGRAM AND JOIN THE NEW ‘UNIVERSAL HEALTH CARE PROGRAM’ THAT THE REST OF US WILL BE ON ????”

THERE WAS A STONEY SILENCE AS OBAMA IGNORED THE QUESTION AND CHOSE NOT TO ANSWER IT!!! IN ADDITION, A NUMBER OF SENATORS WERE ASKED THE SAME QUESTION AND THEIR RESPONSE WAS.

“WE WILL THINK ABOUT IT.”

AND THEY DID. IT WAS ANNOUNCED TODAY ON THE NEWS THAT THE “KENNEDY HEALTH CARE BILL” WAS WRITTEN INTO THE NEW HEALTH CARE REFORM INITIATIVE ENSURING THAT THAT CONGRESS WILL BE 100% EXEMPT!

Amendment 28
Congress shall make no law that applies to the citizens of the United States that does not apply equally to the Senators or Representatives, and Congress shall make no law that applies to the Senators or Representatives that does not apply equally to the citizens of the United States .

Liberal astroturfers: Mind if I stir your pot on health care?
60% of Americans believe the United States is on the wrong track, according to a poll conducted by Democratic Corps, a Democratic organization, and Third Way, a progressive non-profit organization.
53% of young Republicans are “definitely” going to the polls this November, compared to 44% of Democrats, according to the poll from the Harvard Institute of Politics.
57% of voters say the health care reform plan now working its way through Congress will hurt the U.S. economy, according to Rasmussen polls.
66% of voters believe the health care plan proposed by President Obama and congressional Democrats is likely to increase the federal deficit, according to Rasmussen polls.
81% of voters believe it is at least somewhat likely that the health care reform plan will cost more than official estimates, according to Rasmussen polls.
78% of Americans believe that taxes on the middle class will have to be raised eventually to pay for the healthcare bill, according to Rasmussen polls.
53% of Americans are opposed to Obamacare, according to the latest Rasmussen polls.Ken, if it rains gold coins are problems will al be solved too. Fantasy has no place in govtKen, fantasy has no place in govt

Do Dems just not understand numbers?
Apparently on his radio show, Rush stated that he would leave the country if health reform is passed and go to Costa Rica.
————————————
CALLER: If the health care bill passes, where would you go for health care yourself? And the second part of that is, what would happen to the doctors, do they have to participate in the federal program, or could they opt out of it? [...]

LIMBAUGH: My guess in even in Canada and even in the UK, doctors have opted out. And once they’ve opted, they can’t see anybody Medicare, Medicaid, or what will become the exchanges. They have to have a clientele of private patients that will pay them a retainer and it’ll be a very small practice. I don’t know if that’s been outlawed in the Senate bill. I don’t know. I’ll just tell you this, if this passes and it’s five years from now and all that stuff gets implemented — I am leaving the country. I’ll go to Costa Rica.
——————————————————-
See this link for a playback of the call. http://thinkprogress.org/2010/03/09/limbaugh-exile-health-care/

Unfortunately it looks like Costa Rica already has a similar system to the reform package that’s being discussed:

“Costa Rica’s hybrid government-private health care system provides comprehensive universal coverage to all residents — and even sells affordable policies to soon-to-be visitors like Limbaugh. The government owns several major public hospitals and operates small clinics in almost every community. Workers are required to contribute 15% of their salaries to health insurance and the unemployed “obtain public funding for all health services, including prescription drugs.” At least a third of all Costa Rican residents receive some care in the private sector and the government regularly purchases services from private providers. The system is not without its problems, but it boasts a higher ranking from the World Health Organization — Costa Rica is 36, United States 37 — and has higher life expectancy and lower infant mortality rates. Costa Rica also spends less per capita on health care than the United States and insures almost all of its residents.”

So my question to you is, where in the developed world could Rush flee to if he was indeed serious?Excellent job Shovel Ready. You have stated the obvious. Now let me clarify… WHERE in the developed world is he going to go to find health care that isnt “ruined” by a socialist approach? His chosen destination of Costa Rica already has the same approach he’d be fleeing from.Thank you Emporer has no clothes for reminding me that somehow creating insurance exchanges that allow people to purchase from private companies across state lines is a “government takeover” of health care… somehow. Could you direct me to a link that shows which bill you’re talking about? The current legislation’s main provision is the creation of insurance exchanges to allow freer competition between insurance agencies.

Rush Limbaugh wants to leave the country if health reform is passed!? Question: Where would he go?
I’M INTERESTED TO SEE JUST HOW MANY SUPPORT THE HEALTH CARE PLAN AND HOW MANY DON’T. AND WHY?

THE “HEALTH CARE BILL” WHO AGREES AND DISAGREES?

Obama Pushing Health Care End-Game
WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama is pushing a new anti-fraud plan and his top health official is challenging the nation’s insurers as the administration cranks up the pressure for a sweeping overhaul of the nation’s medical system.

Obama: 'Bounty Hunters' Will Help Fight Health Care Fraud With …
WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama said Tuesday he’ll bring in high-tech bounty hunters to help root out health care fraud, grabbing a populist idea with bipartisan backing in his final push to overhaul the system.

Sebelius Dials Back Toughest Rhetoric on Health Care Insurers …
Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius just finished talking to the health insurance industry’s annual policy conference at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Washington, DC. Political Punch Blog.

Hot Air » Blog Archive » Another tale of government-run health …
How will our health-care system run once the government is in charge of it? People who have VA or Medicare already know the answer to that — and so do the people of Canada, whose model received warm praise from Barack Obama and leading …

Health Care Protesters Face Off Against Insurance Lobbyists
(Jeremy Binckes contributed to this report.) Thousands of protesters and labor activists descended upon the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Washington today to try to make things a little more difficult for the health insurance lobbyists and …

Riehl World View: Health Care And Work
As Gallup releases its latest poll on health care, I’m wondering if it’s somehow a sin to talk about health care in relationship to work these days. PRINCETON, NJ — As President Obama begins a final push on healthcare reform,…

RealClearPolitics – Health Care's Obstacle: No Will to Cut
President Barack Obama on Wednesday endorsed congressional Democrats’ plans to use a controversial process known as “budget reconciliation” to nationalize American health care, turning it over to a vast new trillion-dollar… more ›› …

On Bipartisan Health Care Reform, It's Time for Lindsey Graham to …
According to Politico, Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) is apparently trying to revive the “Gang of 14” idea, but this time to stop Democrats from using reconciliation to pass some changes to the Senate health care bill.

Health Care Resurrection – Paul Krugman Blog – NYTimes.com
Hey, where was this impressive guy Obama last year?

How is it possible a trillion dollars spent on health care reform will pay for its self?
Why don’t Repubs like lowered costs, more insured, and longer lives? Canada, France and Germany spend 10-15% of GDP on health care we spend 22% (and rising) and don’t even cover everyone!
So cons like it that we pay more and get less?? Mortality rate here is higher than other western countries too.

Why don’t Republicans want to get more and pay less? I mean the health care bill even says you can opt out!?!?

Why do right-wingers prefer corporate gouging over fellow Americans?
we all have access to knowledge about how to take care of our bodies so that we don’t get sick? They teach it to you in middle school in class called “Health” or “Wellness” or “PE”. Everyday the morning news spouts off about some new study that proves that more sleep = better immune system or that exercise will lower your risk of heart disease.
How come so many people are harping on the need for preventative care, when we already know what to do- and people still don’t do it ? Everyone knows that if you -Eat healthy foods, Exercise a few times a week, have good Hygiene… that you won’t get as sick as often…As far as diseases like Diabetes and Cancer—- Let’s’ talk to the FDA about that…Let’s have an FDA reform bill!
What else do people really want?…Are we asking the govt to use our tax dollars to give us more pamphlets to take home from the doctors office- to pay for us to have gym membership? I guess if people are fined- then they’ll stop being lazy and glutenous… or maybe they’ll just pay the fine…OK- point taken- I am young , but I have to say- that I still believe that many of the diseases we face today are because people don’t take care of themselves. Many more health problems, diseases, and illnesses are caused by the drugs that the FDA approves to treat the symptoms of lesser illnesses- and by the food that FDA deems as “safe”.
It’s not that I don’t wrry about getting really sick- because I don’t have insurance- I was denied for having gestational diabetes while pregnant within a year of applying. So I am sympathetic to some of what people have to say about Health Care Reform. I just think there is a better way to reform health care, and when we are talking preventative care- taking care of your body is a vital part of that.
It’s just that I realize that if people took better care of themselves all around, there would be less serious illness to pay for.

What is all this nonsense about people not getting “preventative” health care when?
They will sign a lifetime contract to buy Health Insurance and agree to be put in jail incase they fail to buy it. The contract will also affect the children and all future generation. YET, they don’t know exactly how much they will have to pay ?

PS: I don’t even care about them (the Liberals) anymore, I am amazed by how ‘responsible’ they are as parents.

Are Liberals so excited about selling their children’s freedom?
one sibling who is health care proxy for elderly mother made sole decision to keep her in a nursing home situation.the other three siblings, one of whom is power of attorney, wanted to care for her at home and were doing so.they want her home to die,he wants to keep her there who is responsible for the paying of nursing home stay.they don’t want a lean on the house

who is responsible to pay hospital stay?
He can not get off health ‘care’ and deal with jobs. What is he thinking?

What is Obama smoking in the back yard?

Are Americans afraid to have government take over health care because they screw everything up so badly?
Your Kitty the Addict

It’s true. Cats have addictive natures. And their addictive tendencies extend to their taste buds. Your kitty is genetically wired to crave foods high in fat and salt.

And did you know many cats actually become addicted to the shape as well as the flavor of certain foods?

This is a fact cat food manufacturers are well aware of, which allows them to develop foods designed to be addictive – foods of a certain shape, with added salt, fat and sugar.

Disturbing but true — there are research and development departments in many of the big commercial cat food companies whose job it is to study what shapes cats prefer. Whether it’s an “x” shape, a triangle, a circle, or maybe a tiny fish, the goal is to develop products your kitty will demand once he’s hooked.

This is how customers-for-life are created. Once your beloved Fluffy is addicted to a certain type of food, as you probably know too well, it can seem an impossible chore to introduce a different food into his diet.

I want you to know it is indeed possible to successfully switch your kitty to a healthy diet.

Challenging, yes, but so worth it! The single most impactful thing you can do for your cat’s health is to feed him a balanced, nutritionally appropriate diet. Virtually nothing else you do to take care of your kitty will mean as much to his health, happiness and longevity as the food you feed him.

http://healthypets.mercola.com/sites/healthypets/archive/2010/03/10/how-to-transition-your-cat-to-raw-food-diet-part-1.aspx

did you know this about cat food?
…….” You WILL get the Health Care Bill and like it!!!!!!”I don’t know about you but I imagine him wearing clothes when he does it.

Considering that polls show people don’t want the HC Bill is 0bama poking America in the chest saying………?
Is it because like Conservatives, they care nothing for people?Vivian: Obama would do a better job keeping us healthy that the jerks who do it now.PIXIE: Any one who starts a business to make profit over people is evil.

Why to Health Insurance companies put profit over people?
I am 7 weeks pregnant and I am trying to find cheap health insurance. I live in NM. I just need a plan that will cover my ultrasounds, doctor appointments the birth and medicine. My job sucks as I am making 2.25 an hour. I am also in the military but I am in the reserves so I am not eligible for tri care. any ideas? also i cant afford a high deductible. and medicare is not an option.

Some Comments on the Literary Excellence and Inimitability of the Qur’an

THIS IS GOING TO BE LONG ,I DONT WANT U TO READ IT COMPLETELY .
… the Meccans still demanded of him a miracle, and with remarkable boldness and self confidence Mohammad appealed as a supreme confirmation of his mission to the Koran itself. Like all Arabs they were the connoisseurs of language and rhetoric. Well, then if the Koran were his own composition other men could rival it. Let them produce ten verses like it. If they could not (and it is obvious that they could not), them let them accept the Koran as an outstanding evident miracle.247 (The well-known Arabist Hamilton Gibb of the University of Oxford)

As a literary monument the Koran thus stands by itself, a production unique to the Arabic literature, having neither forerunners nor successors in its own idiom. Muslims of all ages are united in proclaiming the inimitability not only of its contents but also of its style.248 (Well-known Arabist Hamilton Gibb)

The influence of the Koran on the development of Arabic Literature has been incalculable, and exerted in many directions. Its ideas, its language, its rhymes pervade all subsequent literary works in greater or less measure. Its specific linguistic features were not emulated, either in the chancery prose of the next century or in the later prose writings, but it was at least partly due to the flexibility imparted by the Koran to the High Arabic idiom that the former could be so rapidly developed and adjusted to the new needs of the imperial government and an expanding society.249 (Well-known Arabist Hamilton Gibb)

Whenever [Prophet] Muhammad [saas] was asked a miracle, as a proof of the authenticity of his mission, he quoted the composition of the Qur’an and its incomparable excellence as proof of its divine origin. And, in fact, even for those who are non-Muslims nothing is more marvellous than its language with such apprehensible plenitude and a grasping sonority… The ampleness of its syllables with a grandiose cadence and with a remarkable rhythm have been of much moment in the conversion of the most hostile and the most sceptic.250 (From Paul Casanova’s article, “L’Enseignement de I’Arabe au College de France” [The Arab Teaching at the College of France])

It [the Qur'an] is a literal revelation of Allah, dictated to [Prophet] Muhammad [saas] by Gabriel, perfect in every letter. It is an ever-present miracle witnessing to itself and to [Prophet] Muhammad [saas], the Prophet of Allah. Its miraculous quality resides partly in its style, so perfect and lofty that neither men nor Jinn could produce a single chapter to compare with its briefest chapter, and partly in its content of teachings, prophecies about the future, and amazingly accurate information such as [Prophet] Muhammad [saas] could never have gathered of his own accord.251 (From Harry Gaylord Dorman’s book, Towards Understanding Islam)

All those who are acquainted with the Qur’an in Arabic agree in praising the beauty of this religious book; its grandeur of form is so sublime that no translation into any European language can allow us to appreciate it.252 (From Edward Montet’s Traduction Francaise du Coran [French Translation of the Qur'an])

The Qur’an in its original Arabic dress has a seductive beauty and charm of its own Couched in concise and exalted style, its brief pregnant sentences, often rhymed, possess an expressive force and explosive energy which it is extremely difficult to convey by literal word for word translation.253 (From John Naish’s book, The Wisdom of the Qur’an)

The Koran is universally allowed to be written with the utmost elegance and purity of language, in the dialect of Koreish, the most noble and polite of all Arabians… The style of the Qur’an is generally beautiful and fluent,… and in many places, specifically where the majesty and attributes of God are described, sublime and magnificent… He succeeded so well, and so strangely captivated the minds of his audience, that several of his opponents thought it the effect of witchcraft and enchantment.254 (From George Sale’s book, The Koran: The Preliminary Discourse)

A miracle of purity of style of wisdom and of truth.255 (From Rev. R. Bosworth Smith’s book, Mohammed and Mohammadanism)

It [the Qur'an] has a rhythm of peculiar beauty and a cadence that charms the ear. Many Christian Arabs speak of its style with warm admiration, and most Arabists acknowledge its excellence… indeed it may be affirmed that within the literature of the Arabs, wide and fecund as it is both in poetry and in elevated prose, there is nothing to compare with it.256 (From Alfred Guillaume’s book, Islam)

Some Comments on the Divine Nature of the Qur’an and Its Effect on People

On the whole we find in it a collection of wisdom which can be adopted by the most intelligent of men, the greatest of philosophers and the most skilful of politicians… But there is another proof of the Divinit

I got into Hamilton College in Early Decision. When I applied to it, I was taking 4 APs (AP English, Calc AB, Biology, and Human Geography), and Ceramics.

Now, I wonder if I can drop ceramics class. Because 4 APs already give me enough work to do. Will I get revoked by Hamilton because I only take 4?

I’m 25 and work as a Private Investigator it’s a decent job and good money, but I don’t like working 12 hour nights with no days off. I want to get out of this career, and go into something else that has no relations to what I’m doing now. I want to go back to school for 3-4 months take a course and get a job right away does anyone know of any good courses that has a good turn around rate with finding a job right after. I live in Hamilton ON there’s lots of colleges in this area but I just don’t know where to start if anyone can give me some ideas, and throw out some requests that would be helpful…..

I need some advice in a career choice…?
This is what I have so far
- Brought Underground to the Mainstream on the College Dropout
- Made alternative hip hop acts more acceptable
- Paved the way for artists like Charles Hamilton, Kid Cudi, B.O.B, Lupe Fiasco, ect

That’s all I have so far. This is for a final and it has to be four pages. Any suggestions?

THIS IS JUST FOR FUN so keep your insults to yourselves.

I’m from New York and live in Atlanta now. I love hockey but think it’s sacreligious to have hockey in the southern states where nobody gives a crap unless their home team is a championship contender. Hockey in Florida? Tennessee? Arizona? Georgia? Texas? Southern Cal? Give me a break!

I vote to move the following southern teams back to the northern USA and Canada.

1. Phoenix – back to Winnipeg where they belong
2. Carolina – back to Hartford where they belong
3. Nashville
4. Atlanta
5. Tampa Bay
6. Miami
7. Anaheim
8. Los Angeles
9. Dallas

Aside from Winnipeg and Hartford getting the teams back that they lost, I think the following cities are deserving based on a decent market, northern location and support of college / minor league hockey teams:

USA – Seattle, Salt Lake City, Bismarck – ND, Portland
CANADA – Saskatchewan (either Regina or Saskatoon), Hamilton-ON and Quebec City (Nordiques)

Share your opinion. This is just for fun.To answer Lufbery: The Florida Panther play in the Miami area. No one cares there either.Just to answer a few suggestions. I agree that many are smaller markets and may not work. This suggestion was basically on principle (that southern teams should not have hockey), not entirely on market size.

Winnipeg will be getting a team soon though. It’s being discussed in the NHL right now.

Atlanta is in financial trouble right now as well as several of the southern teams I mentioned.

Florida Panthers do play in Sunrise but it’s the Miami area.

San Jose is not Southern Cal. It’s actually in the SF-Oak Bay area.

What do you think of this proposed NHL relocation?

Can anyone help me find a major or career for that matter?
Jesus christ man, Every goddamn day with this end of the world crap. I’m so sick of it. Look, I have plans for my future, alright? Careers, moving to Europe or Asia, getting a girlfriend, and friends before I hit age 20..I have all these damn plans, and I feel a black cloud hovering above me..Telling me that I won’t accomplish anything, and that I’ll die. So maybe the world won’t end..I’m not talking about the world exploding, or everything becoming extinct..
WHAT IM TALKING ABOUT IS US, DYING!! Now my family is all hyped up about the apocalypse..They look forward to it..and they keep going “Isn’t it creepy that we got a 8.9 earthquake in Chile, and one in Haiti in one month?” “The earths shifting”..

I’m sick of hearing this sh*t..I’m so sick of it..Why can’t you people just SHUT UP?!?!?! We had earthquakes in 2009, we had hurricane Katrina, we had 9/11, we had all these disasters in previous years, and I don’t hear anyone talking about the end of the world.

Alright, the world was supposed to end in 1986, 1999, 2000, june 6, 2006, according to everyones beliefs. But guess what? It didn’t end..Why would it end now? I’m not a skeptic, but..I just really don’t wanna die, and expect to wake up one day seeing a f**king tidal wave swoop over my neighbors house, or lava coming out of the f**king ground. God, I’m so annoyed..

Enough with the insanity..What about all the children around the world, with their dreams? Do ya THINK they’re thrilled about dying? Did you ever stop to think that one of those children have been scarred for life because they think their dreams will never come true?

If you all want to die, why don’t you just do it already? Send nukes flying all over the world, and blow eachother up. Why the suspense?
Oh, and then my dad is telling me “You might just live to see the apocalypse” happily..Okay, and I should be happy about that, WHY?! A 17 year old with no damn girlfriend, or friends, but with hope?

So the world may not end..But what about humanity, hm? What about our lives?
Jesus Christ, man..I go to school everyday with hope, telling myself “I’m gonna find that ONE girl someday”, and everyone around me is all talking about Haiti, Chile, and they suddenly declare:
Haiti + Chile = END OF MANKIND!!

“BIG EARTHUAKES! THAT MEANS WE’RE ALL GOING TO DIE!”

How the hell is anyone supposed to have ANY hope? Instead of declaring the end of the world for no reason, why don’t you actually try to find REASON?!

Making me sick, man..Hah, isn’t depression grand? Just the idea of having your dreams crushed by a 540000 meter tidal wave is fantastic..And can yall explain the “8.9 scary earthquake”, so I have something to counter with the next time someone pulls that crap? So, should my brain declare a state of emergency? Should I go out and have sex with a bunch of random people?

WHAT THE F**CK AM I SUPPOSED TO DO?!I wonder if pharmacys still sell cyanide..You know? Just END THIS STUPID NONSENSE.

Alright, I am so sick of this end of the world bull. Is the world gonna END or not?
OK.. came home from school on Friday, went to say hi to my dad and he said i took $500 and started screaming at me saying that i took 500 dollars, and i said to them i did not take 500 dollars they wont believe me, and said that they will send me back to Haiti if i dont give it back but i did not take non of the money so pressures on me even if i tell them that i did not take the money they still going to send me back.. and i dont know what to do

My Parents thinks i took $500?
me and my class are wanting to make money for haiti and we need to make up more ways to money without really spending a lot

how would a middle school class raise money fro haiti?
at school we are having a fund raising event for the haiti appeal we are suppose to come dressed as our hero’s but no necessarily i haven’t got a clue what to come as
i want to be original and unique and hopefully something no one else has thought of
any ideas ??

Help Haiti/Chilie or World Hunger and child poverty.

Her school wants to help out with both, but they cant afford it, due to budget cuts.

For Haiti/Chile they would do:

A 10k Run for Haiti/Chile for Adults.
A 5k Run for Haiti/Chile for Kids. (Oh and they can also walk for both!)

A Hats For Haiti Fundraiser
A Hats for Chile Fundraiser

A WorkShop where children pay $1 and they learn about both countries and where they organize little things that Haitians would need and they put it in a bag and they color the bag and write a note. Each student can do up to 20 bags.

World Hunger:

Go to 2 websites.
These websites, you basically answer a question. If you get an answer correct, a sponser donates 10 _____ to people who are hungry. Each student must donate 10,000 ____ a week, per website.

A Canned Food Fundraiser. Each child donates as many cans and they give them to hungy people all over.

Working with Grocery Store. The children take a field trip to those grocery stores and they each get $40.00 (Not really.) They have a shopping list and they buy each thing. Then they distribute it to this organazation, and the club distributes it to everywhere for less hungry people.

What should my step daughters school do?
Okay, I went with my friend to attend Sunday School/Sunday Services at the Ft. Lauderdale Baptist Church. I myself am an Atheist, and have been begging my friend to bring me, so I can actually see what goes on.

I’m actually quite interested in visiting and listening in on more services, (especially from other denominations, since this doesn’t seem to be the friendliest/most accepting).

Anywho… Sunday services went just as I expected them to. It was… (brainwashing is a harsh term), bible reading and interpretation. But the only person allowed to interpret it the way they wanted to, was the guy running it. Everyone else’s interpretation of what was going on, (when Peter leaves the Gentiles for the Jews(?)), was “wrong” in the eyes of this schmuck. He was making all these kids’ interpretation of the Bible, (which all sounded more logical and tolerant than the preacher’s), were 100% wrong and that they were talking out of their back-side. So I was very uncomfortable with what went on in there.

After that, we attended services. Now, keep in mind, that this church is ginormous, and could easily house victims of the Haiti earthquake much more comfortably than the Super Dome could a few years back. It was huge in here. I think it might be classified as a mega-church or super-church or whatever they call them. In taking an educated guess, I would estimate a 3,500-4,000 capacity.

They had a full band, (horn section, organ, piano, guitarist, bassist, 3 percussionists, plus a congo-player, and of course; the choir). Seeing all the old women happily and playfully singing in the choir was the only enjoyment I got out of being there.

After about 3-4 songs, the pastor came up with his wireless microphone and his [presumably] very expensive suit, and starts belittling EVERY SINGLE THING our, (America’s) Founding Fathers stood for. “This is a Christian nation!” “We need to get Christ back in school!” “This country was built upon Christian principles!!” He then goes on to give examples of presidents quoting the good book in their inaugural addresses. He then proceeds to use Dwight D. Eisenhower, (the same president that put “In God We Trust” on our money, and “…Under God…” in our Pledge of Allegiance), as a representative for this country’s religious views. He said that Thomas Jefferson wanted everyone to pray in the middle of congressional hearings, and that George Washington did similar things, especially in times of war.

I became so enraged with this man, I was sweating and I found myself making a fist with either hand. Though I knew he was 100% wrong about almost everything he said, I had to confirm it online and with my American History teacher yesterday. My teacher was laughing his d*ck off when I recited the Pastor’s words.

There was plenty more the Pastor spoke about, (American being symbolized in End-Times Prophecy in the Bible, symbolism of the Eagle, Spain’s Agnostic leader, among other things), but I’ll leave you with this.

Not don’t get me wrong, I know not all church’s are like this. I live in the south, (Florida), and this was a Baptist Church, but I had to share these religious atrocities and brain-washing schemes with you.P.K., I actually have a good friend in Utah I may visit sometime.

So, I went to church for the first time this past Sunday. Can I get your opinions?
I’m 15 and right about now im not even really sure if the world will end or not i mean after what happened in haiti and then happening in chile AGAIN 10 times WORSE, thats kind of odd… now dont get my wrong im not one of those phsycos who panic every waking moment and believe all that stuff, it just makes me really curious…. makes me wanna skip a couple years ahead and watch us all still be alive. The mayans wrote on stone. They are not God. They just ran out of space to add to their calender. Some of my friends believe it will happen and say they have waisted their lifetime in school for nothing. I’m gonna watch the movie 2012 today looks intresting to see people make up stories about something they dont have a clue about.

Do you think everything will end in 2012?
I want to make paintings, to sell to donate to Haiti but idk where to sell them. I can at school, but I want to widen the range of people. Any other suggestions?

Where would I be able to sell paintings to raise money for Haiti?
we are doing a school project and need someone to interview that has either lived or lives in Haiti…or knows someone who is willing to answer some questions!

thanks

Google: Developments in China Coming “Soon”
Last week, Chinese officials reported that Google was in talks about their threats to leave the country (or only partially) …

Google CEO says company in active talks with China, expects …
Google’s comments come just days after China dismissed reports that talks were underway over the company’s threat to shut down its China-based search service unless the government relented on censorship. …

What were those mind games where there were check boxes and clues where you’d have to figure things out. For example: you’d have to figure out what person went to what country and what object they brought with them and the clues would be like… Amanda did not go to China and did not bring a flashlight.. Emphasising that brisk trading with Arabs, the Southeast Asian nations and China took place in the later part of the study period, Professor Karashima said Tamil inscriptions were found in Takuapa (Thailand), Pagan (Myanmar) and Sumatra (Indonesia), which talked about the merchant guilds. The inscriptions belonged to the 9th-12th century period. Google claimed to be hacked in China. They claimed

1. Not only Google, but other 34 companies are hacked at the same time
Since when companies report to Google when they are hacked?
Why there is no list of these “other” 34 companies?

2. Over 20 accounts belonged to human rights activists were hacked.
Was there a “Human Rights Activist” option under occupation when you sign up with Gmail?
Since when any company know what their customers do at their free time?

3. The hackers used a weakness in Internet Explorer.
Well I am not professional, but I am “expert” enough to know web (servers) do not use Windows based Operating Systems, let alone “Internet Explorer”.
What does a weakness of my front door locker have anything to do with the theft of your SUV?

4. Google traced the origin of hacking to two Chinese schools. Shanghai Jiaotong University and the Lancing Vocational School, who train computer technicians for the Chinese military.

Ok, Lancing Vocational School is a high school level institution. In China, only the top 1/3 middle school graduates are allowed into high school. Those who can’t get into high school will go to this kind of institution which train hairdressers, cooks, etc. low level professions.
All Chinese educational institutions would be on vocation during the time of hacking. Because of Chinese New Year, the winter break in China comes later than in the U.S.

So what is going on .. really?

Was Google really hacked in China?
I need to write a news article for 2 classes about international news and I usally write about how china is ticking me off I’ve done the google issue and and Dalli Llama what can I do?

SO how is China ticking me off this week?
Google is saying that they are pulling out of China because Google doesn’t want the Chinese government spying on human rights activists by using their services. Does anyone think this sounds kind of fishy? Why would a multi-billion dollar company lose billions of dollars just because their government is corrupt?

It sounds to me like it may be a money related issue. As for the whole “hacker attack” thing, I am thinking it’s a lie made up by Google to make themselves not look bad. They claim that a hacker attacked their database along with 30 other companies, this seems really hard to believe.

The real reason Google is threatening to leave China?
Hi,
I’ve taken a year and a half of college level chinese and I want to do a summer program (in China) that entails intensive language training. I see a lot of advertisements on google and a lot of summer programs that offer this, but are there any prestigious and selective programs that do this as well? This can include anything..even colleges or universities that have summer programs in China. Anything would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

"Sizzle" Confronts Global Warming With Humor (VIDEO)
“Sizzle” takes an often somber and solemn subject, climate change, and approaches it with lighthearted comedy in the hopes of raising awareness among new audiences. Self-proclaimed as a blend of “mockumentary, documentary, and reality”, …

Ted Nugent To School Children: Global Warming Is A Fraud, Watch …
According to the Oakland Press, a Shrine Catholic Academy and High School student asked for Nugent’s views on global warming. He responded with this gem: “Global warming is a fraud. Watch Glenn Beck.” Is Nugent aware that even Glenn …

Climate Change Fraud – Global Warming in Historical Perspective
By now virtually everyone on earth is aware of the hysteria being fostered by socialists over global warming. Al Gore and his disciples claim that any planetary warming that is occurring must be cause.

Today's proof of global warming « Don Surber
Anyways, everyone know that any change in weather is caused by global warming, or global cooling, or whatever its called. Back in 1915 the record high was 80+, that was global warming. I woke up earlier than usual today, global warming. …

Know More About Global Warming | emexe.com
Global temperature increases has become one of the most frequently discussed phenomenon in today eventuality. Whether you pick up the daily paper or turn on the television, you are bound to hear of the phrase.

If we do something then global warming won’t be as destructive?
You remember the warnings, the demagoguery after Katrina, Al Gore’s movie and book and powerpoint slide – - global warming was going to mean more “hurricanes.” Then it was changed from “more” to “stronger” – still referring to “hurricanes.”

Technically, “hurricanes” refers to tropical storms in the Atlantic. Globally, such storms are called “cyclones.”

Globally, cyclone activity has declined even as sea surface temperatures rose:

http://wattsupwiththat.com/2009/03/12/global-hurricane-activity-has-decreased-to-the-lowest-level-in-30-years/

(The term “activity” takes into consideration both number and strength of storms, thereby eliminating the need to distinguish among the two assertions).

It is GLOBAL warming, right? And sea surface temperatures rose globally, right?

So it’s logical to assume that “hurricanes” meant “cyclones” globally rather than “hurricanes” in the Atlantic.

Will they claim otherwise if we get a few seasons with a lot of Atlantic hurricanes but few Pacific and Indian Ocean cyclones, thus netting to a weak year for cyclone activity?Samsa and Step – that’s great that their models show this relationship but so far the real world hasn’t complied.

Why not?

When AGW proponents claimed that there would be more “hurricanes” did they mean globally or just the Atlantic?
Remember all the headlines pushed by the IPCC to the press stating things like:

Warm weather droughts caused by dangerous man made global warming… expect more
Hurricane Katrina powered by dangerous man made global warming… expect more
Polar bears will die because of dangerous man mad global warming… expect more
Sea levels will rise due to dangerous man made global warming… expect more
etc..

Did people make a judgement call and start to say… oh its very warm today this must be global warming. Was this an IPCC strategy to educate people into thinking they can judge local weather events and global warming for themselves?

Has this strategy back fired this winter? How could the IPCC have better thought out their global warming propaganda machine or did the press take the messages out of context… what could the IPCC have done about it?

Have the public been misled about their ability to judge climate change?
Do You Think The Indonesian Police and Authority Are Discriminating Against The Iraqi, Iranian and Afghan Refugees?

The Influence of the neo-cons, Specifically Prejudice and Bigotry in the Climate Change Debate

Today, (Friday, February 12, 2010) the Politics in the Pub organised a debate “POST-COPENHEGAN – AUSTRALIA’S ETS – WHERE TO NOW?” Two good speakers were Dr. Mark Diesendorfe of University of Technology and Green MLC John Key. They made a beautiful presentation. They also dispelled lots of myths.

During the question time Sydney identity Faruque Ahmed asked the following question:

“Do you like to talk about The Influence of the neo-cons, Specifically Prejudice and Bigotry in the Climate Change Debate? Right now, the scientists are not talking. In fact the politicians, spin doctors, shock jocks, neo-cons, … who by the way got a very bad track record are in many ways steering the debate! They have removed the science and facts from the debate. In reality, they have cunningly injected prejudice and bigotry in this very important discussion. More or less, they are saying, this is a taxing the rich nations to pop up the corrupt and poorer African, Asian and Latin American countries! This is another way to destroy factories and farmers of Australia, … . Very emotive statements without any foundation whatsoever! To understand this situation we have to examine a carefully choreographed paranoia over `boat people’. Recently a few leaky boats are arriving in Australia with their cargo, e.g. refugees from Sri Lanka. Many of them are Christians, Buddhists, Hindus and not Muslims. However, due to the existence of a `memoranda of understanding’ between Australia and Indonesia, the Indonesian police have been rounding up `Mislim’ refugees from Iraq, Iran and Afghanistan who intend to sail for Australia! You see, “the Muslims are bad people, they threw their babies in the water to gain sympathy and wear burqas! You see, prejudice and bigotry works.”

It was a lively discussion forum of Sydney. Unfortunately such open and live debates and discussions are not available in the Australian media! Last year, the shock jocks and spin doctors managed to change the leadership of a major political party over a totally false and jaundiced debate about the “Climate Change’ or `Global Warming”. Would you believe the main stream media outlets are cunningly preventing Sydney identity Faruque Ahmed from speaking up too!

Do You Think The Indonesian Police and Authority Are Discriminating Against The Iraqi, Iranian and Afghan Refu?
Or is global warming…. global?
Surely global warming should mean you have a warmer winter not the coldest one in a hundred years!

Does the AGW “It’s Winter” defence mean that global warming exists only when and where they say?
Spring has sprung but where are all the daffodils crops are down 50% this year when we are in the midst of a global warming crisis!

“We are anticipating less than half of the daffodils being available from our own crop than we would normally expect in Mother’s (Day) week,” he said.

Will you import flowers for your mum on Mothers day this year… you might have to if you live in the UK?
Except for one semester in college when jobs were
scarce, and a six-month period when I was between jobs (but job-hunting every day), I’ve worked, hard, since I was 18. Despite some health challenges, I still put in 50-hour weeks, and haven’t called in sick in seven or eight years. I make a good salary, but I didn’t inherit my job or my income, and I worked to get where I am.
Given the economy, there’s no retirement in sight, and I’m tired.
Very tired.

I’m tired of being told that I have to “spread the wealth” to people who don’t have my work ethic. I’m tired of being told the government will take the money I earned, by force if necessary, and give it to people too lazy to earn it.

I’m tired of being told that I have to pay more taxes to “keep people in their homes.” Sure, if they lost their jobs or got sick, I’m willing to help. But if they bought McMansions at three times the price of our paid-off, $250,000 condo, on one-third of my salary, then let the left-wing Congress-critters who passed Fannie and Freddie and the Community Reinvestment Act that created the bubble, help them with their own money.

I’m tired of being told how bad America is by left-wing millionaires like Michael Moore, George Soros and Hollywood entertainers who live in luxury because of the opportunities America offers. In thirty years, if they get their way, the United States will have the economy of Zimbabwe , the freedom of the press of China , the crime and violence of Mexico , the tolerance for Christian people of Iran , and the freedom of speech of Venezuela .

I’m tired of being told that Islam is a “Religion of Peace,” when every day I can read dozens of stories of Muslim men killing their sisters, wives and daughters for their family “honor;” of Muslims rioting over some slight offense; of Muslims murdering Christian and Jews because they aren’t “believers;” of Muslims burning schools for girls; of Muslims stoning teenage rape victims to death for “adultery;” of Muslims mutilating the genitals of little girls, all in the name of Allah, because the Qur’an and Shari’a law tells them to.

I think it’s very cool that we have a black president, and that a black child is doing her homework at the desk where Lincoln wrote the Emancipation Proclamation. I just wish the black president was Condi Rice, or someone who believes more in freedom and the individual, and less arrogantly of an all-knowing government.

I’m tired of a news media that thinks Bush’s fundraising and inaugural expenses were obscene, but that thinks Obama’s, at triple the cost, were wonderful; that thinks Bush exercising daily was a waste of presidential time, but Obama exercising is a great example for the public to control weight and stress; that picked over every line of Bush’s military records, but never demanded that Kerry release his; that slammed Palin, with two years as governor, for being too inexperienced for VP, but touted Obama, with three years as senator, as potentially the best president ever. Wonder why people are dropping their subscriptions or switching to Fox News? Get a clue. I didn’t vote for Bush in 2000, but the media and Kerry drove me to his camp in 2004.

I’m tired of being told that out of “tolerance for other cultures,” we must let Saudi Arabia use our oil money to fund mosques and madrassa Islamic schools to preach hate in America , while no American group is allowed to fund a church, synagogue or religious school in Saudi Arabia to teach love and tolerance.

I’m tired of being told I must lower my living standard to fight global warming, which no one is allowed to debate. My wife and I live in a two-bedroom apartment and carpool together five miles to our jobs. We also own a three-bedroom condo, where our daughter and granddaughter live. Our carbon footprint is about 5% of Al Gore’s, and if you’re greener than Gore, you’re green enough.

Anyone else getting as tired as me?
What do the human body and the planet earth have in common?

Water. If the human body has about two-thirds water, our planet has about 70% of it, which establishes the fact that water constitutes a major portion in both body masses. And that is what’s alarming. If 70% of the earth’s surface is made up of water, then humankind should have been very wary of anything that would pollute this major portion of the planet. Alas, the human race has done otherwise. Water pollution is now a global problem.

Today, water pollution is rampant and the chief source of water pollution is the human race. We are the very ones that need water most and, yet, we have polluted it, even to the brink of extinction.

There are many types of water pollutants but these can be segregated into four classifications: natural, agricultural, municipal and industrial pollutants. Natural water pollutants could include all the natural phenomena that happen from time to time such as volcanic eruptions, earthquakes that cause major upheavals in the ocean floor and storms that cause flashfloods. Even global warming could be qualified as a cause of water pollution.

Agricultural pollution consists mainly of poultry and other agricultural animal wastes that are carelessly thrown off to bodies of water near farms. It could also be the fertilizers or pesticides that are used to make better crops, which erode into lakes, rivers or streams. Municipal wastes are those that come from residential areas. This is the liquid waste that households throw into bodies of water. Industrial pollution consists of all the wastes that major industrial firms chuck into the waters. This last classification is the most severe and most rampant among the three – and it is also the one that has caused the most damage. Industrial waste could include contaminants that are hard to take off from the waters once they spread – petroleum from oil spills or nuclear wastes.

The bodies of water in the world are in catastrophic danger, what with all the industries in the world today, plus our individual wastes all put together! No wonder mankind now drinks from bottles instead of just scooping water from running streams. The effects of water pollution to humanity is staggering. But we should also consider all the other life forms that suffer – the fishes and other animals such as birds, and plants. And what happens when humans eat the very fishes that live in polluted waters? Do you still want that answered?

But where there is life, there is hope. There is something that we can do – you can do – to save the only planet that we have.

——

No need to make it exact. Can anyone please help me translate these? THANK YOU! SO MUCH!

Can anyone translate these into filipino? (10 points!)?
What he could have done is given us the information to create penicillin or the vaccine for the bubonic plague which could have saved 10s of millions of lives or explained the orbit of the earth around the sun, in an attempt to give us a great leap forward in modern science. How about explaining global warming and how to prevent it from back then. And I’m sure you guys can think of many other ways he could have made some kind of real impact on society, rather than just impressing his friends.

Instead he performed magic tricks. Healed a few people here and there, walked on water and fed 5000 people. Where is the miracle there? Seems to me like Criss Angel would be a messiah for his magics, but even more so Alexander Fleming is for saving millions and millions of lives.

If Jesus really wanted us to believe in him, he would have left us with some information we didn’t already have.

Do you agree?not information which has no evidence like ‘we need to be saved’ but real information that will save lives.

Is Jesus the real Messiah?
I was watching the duggars family and there was this TV show from Korea who wanted to interview them, they were doing a series on big families because Korea’s birth rate is low and its causing a crisis in their country.

OK; first off. On one side Im hearing “AHH overpopulation! too many people! too many babies! were going to use up all the resources. We’re killing the world. Global warming! We are going to send ourselves to destruction. Don’t have more than 1 or 2 kids!”

And on the opposite side of the spectrum im hearing: “Oh no. Russia and korea have such a low birth rate. Such a low birth rates! People aren’t having enough babies. NO BABIES!! WE’RE ALL GONNA DIE”

More babies or less babies make up your damn mind! Are we killing the world or are we killing the economy?!

Secone question: How can having a low birth rate damage your society?
Shrinking population = shrinking cities. No big deal. Please explain why it is such a crisis.

Low birth rate or high birth rate: which one is more dangerous?
Just saw this article in the Washington Post http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2010/03/10/AR2010031000505.html and it seems to me that someone has a great sense of humour

When reading the excerpts below, don’t forget that China is still – apparently – a “developing nation” (a developing nation with a massive amount of dollars in the bank).

QUOTE-

—————————————–
“BEIJING — China told the United States on Wednesday to make stronger commitments on climate change and provide environmental expertise and financing to developing nations.

We hope the United States will do more … we hope the United States will not shift the responsibility for taking more active action to other countries,” Xie told a news conference on the sidelines of China’s annual legislative session.

Brazil, South Africa, India and China – the bloc of large developing nations known as BASIC – have called for developed countries to quickly begin handing over an initial $10 billion pledged at last December’s Copenhagen climate change conference to poor countries to help them deal with the effects of global warming.”"
—————————————————-

So, Americans – when are you going to hand over the “initial” $10 billion you agreed to to help China with new technologies to cope with climate change?

And can you hear laughter?
.

For years, people have been saying that hell would freeze over before the New Orleans Saints would ever win the Super Bowl.

On Sunday, February 7, 2010 The Saints won the Super Bowl.

On that same Sunday, Washington D.C. was paralyzed under several feet of snow and the Federal Government was shut down.

Well, at least we know where hell is now.

How long must we wait for good news?
I’ve been married 3 years. Every year we’ve used TurboTax to e-file our taxes. Every year we’ve gotten our taxes within two weeks of filing.

Last year, we bought our first house & qualified for the Home Buyer Credit ($7,200). We used Turbo Tax on February 2, 2010. When we finished, it gave us a message that said we had to print it off and mail it in to the IRS. I put it in the mail on February 4, 2010. Turbo Tax said it would take up to three weeks. It’s been four weeks. We’ve tried to track it on the IRS website using our SSN’s, but it says no information is available for us.

What’s going on? Where is our refund??Well…. if people needed the money to buy their houses, then why do they have to wait a until the next fiscal year to get the money
_-

We bought a house we could easily afford (a bargain in our neighborhood!) and we’re using our tax credit to install new carpet & windows.

And I LOVE Dwight Schrute! LOL

WHEN will we get our taxes back?! =(?
I revieved as a message on eBay today
“eBay Invoice Notification for Sunday, February 28, 2010″
they are charging me $2.29, and i’m not sure why ?

Exact words:

Your monthly eBay invoice for the period from February 1, 2010 through February 28, 2010 is now available to view online.

Amount Due: C$2.29

You have set up automatic payments using a credit card. Your invoice amount will be charged to your credit card automatically within the next 5 to 7 days. The amount deducted may vary based on recent payments or credits

I’m not sure why they are charging me?
i have sold an item recently, so are they charging me for that?
Becuase they said “monthly” payment, but i’ve been on eBay for about a year now, and i’ve never had to pay a monthly payment =S (however, this past month has been my first time selling though)

Cant someone please help by explaining please? thanks!I know that thats how ebay makes money that way, but they already charged me for insertion fee. So this is another fee that i have to pay when my item gets sold? But why is it called “monthly payment?” Thanks

Why eBay is randomly charging me?
I signed a 6 month lease beginning November 1, 2009, that would end April 30, 2010. At the end of February I gave my 60 day notice. The landlord called me yesterday & left a message that my lease is up May 31, 2010. I looked at my lease & indeed it says it is for 6 months, but the date range is November 1, 2009 – May 31, 2010. Which is 7 months. Legally, what are my options? I want to leave at the end April, can I???

My lease has an conflicting information, 6 month lease, but dates cover 7 months?
I have 2 main rabbits, Cookie (male) & Buttons (female). I got Cookie from a pet shop (i know its wrong, but it was years ago, when I was 10, {I’m 12 now} and I didn’t know about shelters, rescues) and the staff never told us if he was vaccinated or not, and then I got Buttons almost 2 years ago from a friend who has been breeding rabbits for 5 years, and she said that each kit had been vaccinated.

And then Buttons had babies on the 7th February 2010 so they’re all 25 days old now. There’s 7 of them and I live in the UK and all will be staying in the UK, so there’s no mosquitos etc.

So do they need vaccinated? What vaccinations do they need? Isn’t it something called VHD, and Myxo. or something like that? What age should they get them? And how much would it cost to get 7 rabbits vaccinated?

Thanks, very much appreciated!Extra info :

- They’re being sold at 6 weeks old to seperate owner, so if each of their new owners are keeping them inside then they won’t need vaccinated. If the owners are gonna keep them outside then they can vaccinate them.

- I’m keeping one of the kits, and they all stay inside, they’ve NEVER lived outdoors, and only get out for a few hours a day in the summer. So the kit I choose to keep, will it need vaccinated if it’s indoors where no wild rabbits can pass on diseases to it?

Do baby rabbits need to be vaccinated if they live in the UK? If so, at what age?
My month in detail TTC. I know a lot of people said that I am either making this up in my head or that I am tricking myself into believing I could be pregnant but some of the things I couldn’t possibly make up such as the spotting, cramping, and pulling feeling. What do you think? Could this be my month?

2. Ovulation date Feb 18th

6. 8dpo a “pulling” feeling in the front of my abdomen

7. 9dpo cramping in abdomen

8. 10dpo BFN

9. 12dpo Light pink bloody mucus when I wiped after using the bathroom (went again two hours later and nothing!)

10. 13dpo (today) BFN with morning urine!

11. Headaches on and off since ovulation date

12. Increase in apatite (I have refrained from eating junk food though I am craving it)

13. Really terrible and frequent gas lately (My husband noticed this)

I took the Clear Blue Digital Pregnancy Test on the 28th of February and a cheap Dollar Tree test this morning. My period isn’t due until tomorrow but if it doesn’t come on time should I wait until the day after to test? And no I am not stressing myself out about this. I am making it “fun”. Any advice is welcome.
