I believe Tila Tequila is putting on a front about the loss of her wifey Casey Johnson. In my opinion, she was with this lady for the money according to word on the street. Did anyone hear how Tila Tephony slammed the Johnson family on Twitter after Casey’s death? I swear all that crying she was doing looked like pure show in my book. She only been with Casey for a very short period before her death and she carrying on all that boo hoo stuff like this woman was her true love. I met her about 2 months ago. Shes architect, from brazilian’s branch office, but now shes here (nyc office), because although shes very young, she already has an architectural doctorate degree (Arch D). whose field is uncommon and important for our new project. So, she’s designing this. And she supposed to stay here during the construction, but she did not accept. Kate (our colleague) told me she wants to return to brazil as soon as possible, coz she misses her friend and family, especially the nephews…also her culture and hear portuguese).
Well, anyway, heres what really matters: Shes not just intelligent, shes also gorgeous, really is, extremely beautiful and hotttt… but her attribute that I most like is that shes very decent…I noticed that coz almost all singles men from office asked her out, and she didnt accept none.

I’m looking through my Princeton Review book for the GRE, and it resembles the Old SAT (before the 2005 reforms), with analogies, sentence completions, etc.

Also, isn’t it true that the highest GRE score is (just like the Old SAT) a 1600?
So what’s the difference between these tests?

I took the SAT for the first time in October of my junior year, and didn’t really take it all that seriously, which was a mistake (I didn’t study or take classes). I ended up scoring a 1950 (670 on math and reading, 610 on writing).

I’m planning on retaking the test in October of my senior year, and studying through the summer (online guides/review books). Would it be possible to raise my score to a 2300 or better?

I am relatively new to web development and have begun to learn HTML and CSS as they are essential languages for web design. I also want to move into a bit of scripting i.e. JavaScript, PHP, ASP.NET and whatnot and have seen and read a bit about jQuery on various forums.

I know that it is a JavaScript library that can produce some pretty decent effects and functionality so I want to know, is it worth learning? I have seen a book on Amazon jQuery: Visual QuickStart guide and it has some good reviews and am thinking about getting it.

An interesting statement when you consider the publication was reproduced for her to re-read. I assume she knows all about the history of the JW’s as she has stated that “Jehovah’s Witnesses have never claimed to be prophets”. Therefore she is fully aware of the full history of her sect.
I can understand her point, they (the prophets) must wait until God realizes he has made a mistake and then tell them and they then have to make another change. Wouldn’t it be good if God could get it right first time?

Why Don’t JW’s believe some of their own publications but believe others?
Have been thinking of getting an eBook reader for a while, and after extensive shopping around am still unsure as to what the best one would be. It has to be able to play PDF’s and ePub’s, and be available in the UK. Price is irrelevant.

Here are a few of my thoughts on the main ones:

I like the touchscreen on the Sony – but they’re constantly bringing out new ones.
I like the look of the Barnes and Noble Nook – but software reviews are coming up disappointing.
I like the wireless feature of the Kindle – but I DO NOT like the idea of having to get all my books from Amazon.
I like the value for money offered by the iRiver – but PDF support is glitch and as most of my eBook collection is made up of PDF’s, this is not acceptable.
I like the bright, fresh design of the Cool-Er – but the reviews are terrible.

Does anyone have any other suggestions for me to look at? Links would be great, but I can always google if not

I answered a question here, and it was flagged. I thought the answer was good, and I couldn’t see where it was against the community guidelines, so I appealed the flag. However, I ended up losing — the Yahoo Answer moderator (not sure what they’re really called) decided it was a solicitation. However, I can’t see it. Do they think I’m soliciting on behalf of Google or Bing?

Here’s the answer and their decision:

“Can you pay monthly vs. yearly or semi-annually? $2000 per year, while it looks like a lot, is probably pretty decent given the situation. Actually — that’s $166 monthly (plus some fees if you actually pay monthly).. that’s not bad at all, sorry to say, and I haven’t been 18 for a long time… I paid much more than that. Violation Reason: SolicitationWell, I always have lost my appeals… but on this one, I thought it was a helpful answer, so I tried to fight it.

Maybe it’s not possible to win an appeal, then? That’s quite ridiculous if that’s the case.It wasn’t just the initial report, it was after my appeal and when the Yahoo Answers staff or their contractors decided this was a solicitation.

After the first answer here, I got to thinking about it — I’ve appealed a small handful of flags since I started on here, and I’ve lost each appeal, though this is the only one that I can think of that told me which Community Guideline I violated.

It’s just aggravating to put in a decent effort to answer a question to have some slow-wit with tenuous grasp on basic word meanings and context to say this as a solicitation.

In the grand scheme of things, this isn’t a big deal… I just have little tolerance for incompetence… and it irritates me because their reasoning doesn’t make any sense.Riki – no offense meant, as you apparently have spent a great deal of time here — but answers ARE suggestions. People are coming here to seek help — suggestions — and if suggestions are solicitations, nearly every single useful answer on this service is in violation of your version of the Community Guidelines.

It’s absolutely ludicrous to even entertain the thought that a question and answers community prohibits users from giving others suggestions in their terms of service / rules.Riki – I apologize — in re-reading your answer a few times, I’ve come to the conclusion that you probably meant you were giving me a suggestion, not that you were suggesting that suggestions were solicitations.

What is the significance of “Ash Wednesday”?
I’m going to a funeral on Thursday, but when I heard of the death I had thought it would be tomorrow, which got me thinking.

Is it ever appropriate to wear ashes to a funeral? I’m not sure the Catholic church or any of the other denominations that observe Ash Wednesday even do funerals on Ash Wednesday, but assuming they do, is it more appropriate at a funeral in a denomination of Christianity that observes Ash Wednesday and less appropriate at either one that doesn’t or a Jewish or other religion funeral?

I just feel like….you’re already at a funeral. It just seems morbid to bring “Remember, O man, that you are dust, and unto dust you shall return.” into the picture, too.

So hypothetical question – your religion observes Ash Wednesday, you have a funeral to go to, and because of it the only time you can get ashes is beforehand. Do you skip ashes that year or is it okay?

(I would probably just skip the ashes or go and then shower before the funeral, to be honest, but I’ll let you guys weigh in.)

I am Lutheran and like Catholics we celebrate Ash Wednesday. I will be unable to attend my home church tomorrow evening due to a prior commitment. The only church where I work that will be holding Ash Wednesday services on my lunch break is a Roman Catholic Church. I understand that I will not be able to take the Eucharist being that I am not Catholic (not a problem for me and I certainly understand.) However, would I be able to receive ashes on my forehead even though I am not Catholic? My friend, who is Catholic, says I will but I want to be sure.

Time is running short; after five days, we will run out of food, water, and fuel. During the next week, we will be planning our new society. To make sure of our society’s success, we will need to keep it orderly and as civilized as possible. To help keep the savage in us from being exposed, Mr. Allaire will serve as our advisor. Since we need to keep the society as civilized as possible, there needs to be a carefully chosen group of people that can contribute to the success of our alliance with their own unique talents. To have order in a civilization, their must be different individuals performing different tasks so that all of the society’s needs are met. The wisest of the entire society will need to be placed in a position as to where they can control and help make the decisions of the entire civilization; this person will be Mr. Allaire. Our society will be divided up into five branches. These branches will include the hunters, the cookers, the builders, the planners, and the entertainers. Every branch will need to have a leader to make sure that their group does not get out of hand and commit something foolish. Due to the fact that his amazing speed will aid in tracking and killing animals for food, the leader of the hunters will be TJ Sonafrank. Following along with TJ in this group will be Phillip Coleman and Tess Rogers. Phillip’s small size will allow his group members to lift him, or even toss him into hard to reach places, so that elevated vegetation will be available for food as well. Tess is a very strong individual. She is capable of throwing other individuals into the air from experience as a varsity cheerleader. The cookers are the branch of people that are in relation to the hunters. Their duties will include building a fire to cook on, making cookware and utensils, and actually cooking the food if it is needed. It is vital to cook your meats, eggs, and other vegetation because of the dangerous bacteria that is sometimes found within them. You are trying to survive on a deserted island; you do not need any more dangers than you can deal with. Within the cookers group is Alisha Cardwell, who is also the group leader, Alli Nickell, and Daisy Mincey; all of which are very skilled with culinary arts. The third branch of our society will be the builders group. This group will be responsible for the making of the shelter and any other construction that may be needed in order to survive. Every individual in this group will need to have the best patience and creativity on the island because of the stress of finding materials to build with and thinking of a way to fit it all together. The chosen leader of this group will be Jordan Manuel. Jordan’s dad owns an automotive shop; therefore he has lots of knowledge and experience of piecing things together. To help Jordan build in this group will be Alexa Moorefield, Travis Sexton, and I. Alexa and Travis both have shown their creativity throughout the years and neither of them ever becomes impatient. The fourth and perhaps the most important group in our society will be the planners. This group will be in charge of finding ways to signal for help, making signal flares, determining the impending weather, and determining the islands location. After carefully evaluating the candidates for the leader of this group, Tyler Cromer was deemed as the most preeminent person for this role. Tyler is basically the expert of predicting the impending weather, along with having the most knowledge about currents and locations of the Earth. By him knowing what he does, Tyler can help point out where we are in the World and determine logical possibilities for ways to be noticed by passing ships and aircraft. Helping out Tyler will be Marley Bollman and Kayla Greeson. Marley and Kayla are best friends which will allow the best form of cooperation within their group, along with lots of assistance to Tyler. The fifth and last group of our society is the entertainers. This group will be the group that makes sure that everyone’s sanity is in check and will also tend to individual’s feelings to try and neutral them out. The group will also entertain the whole society in times of need. Michaela Bullins, Kristen Smith, and Brittany Foley make up the entertainer group. Kristen and Brittany are two of my great friend; therefore I know they are capable of brightening up anybody’s day and getting a laugh out of anyone. Michaela is one of the most inspiring of the society, which puts her in the right position as a entertainer due to the fact that inspiring is what she will be doing most. There will be no leader of the entertainer group because all three people within it have to take courtesy on themselves to help others.

Hello . We are still in the search of the perfect house .
This one house we saw yesterday has everything we needed . it is a 3 story house , the only problem is kids bedroom are on 2 floor . master bedroom is on 3 rd floor with a huge loft that can be easily turn into a bedroom . Hubby said he has no problem with the kids being on a different floor since it is just a few stairs i think 7 . It worries me a bit . Does anyone have this kind of house? How do you like it ? . My kids are 3 and 1 year and sleep trough the night unless sick which has not happen yet or i should say is very rare . the big sis know how to use stairs correctly and I don’t worry about the stairs but the fact that there bedroom is on different floor .
Second potential issue for me : The loft is open and has a vue into the living room . that worries me also , my kids don’t climb on things but what if ? Hubby said we can enclose it and make a temporary sleeping area if that will ease my mind . What can we use in that case?
Other that that this house is perfect for us !
